The moduled structure (softswitch + billing + Guardian + transcoding) and its compatibility with various applications allows for both large and small VoIP companies using this platform to tackle their business tasks. Each module is self-contained and full-fledged software product. Softswitch Mediacore can be offered either as integrated software product or as separate modules. The program has a friendly interface; company-developer provides 24-hour tech support, tutors their customers’ staff. The demo version is provided for free. There are no restrictions for terms of usage: a customer can work in the system for as long as he needs and wishes in order to familiarize with its functions and to make a decision about softswitch purchase or rent. The only restriction is applied to the concurrent calls quantity – from 10 to 15.

While working with the demo version a customer has the possibility to test all the functions available in the released version: protocols and codec’s conversion, calls statistics display, incoming and outgoing invoices generation, automatic dynamic routing operation, system correct operation with priorities, Guardian solutions.

10. How many users can work simultaneously in the system and does it influence the traffic routing and softswitch operation in general?

Unlimited quantity of users can work simultaneously in the system. The access rights are regulated by the flexible system of rights and roles.

11. Is there a possibility to provide access into Mediacore system for the partners to compare CDR?

Yes, the access level is managed by the flexible system of rights and roles. The developers guarantee the access only to the information specified in the access rights.

12. Is it possible to get a test version of Mediacore on customers’ server?

Yes, it is. You will have to sign the agreement on softswitch purchase. Testing period – is 2 weeks.

13. Can Mediacore be installed into virtual servers?

No, it cannot.

14. Is the requirement ОS Linux Ubuntu Server Edition v.8.04 32 bit necessary?

No, it isn’t. However, the softswitch installation into another distribution kit Linux will take more time.

15. How can dynamic routing be set?

This task is solved by creating the groups of points (Access Level). A user forms the groups of termination points and assigns them to the appropriate origination points. As a result, the dynamic routing is provided by ’one click’.

16. How is the call path set up?

The system includes 3 types of priorities and 2 regulation factors to offer a customer maximum free hand in setting various types of traffic termination.

17. Does protocol and codec’s conversion have an impact on the quality of communication?

Conversion system developed by our programmers implements the conversion ’on-the-fly’ without quality loss.

18. Is it possible to send the calls with full and media proxy?

Yes, it is. Signaling management is accessible in termination/origination points setting.

19. What is the optimal scheme of Mediacore system installation for 500 + concurrent calls?

For such quantity of concurrent calls (500+) it is recommended to apply 1 server for billing, 1 server – RTP, 1 server - RADIUS.

20. How long does it take to install and run Mediacore system?

Not more than 2-3 days.

21. Are the customers provided with technical support and training?

Speedflow provides 24/7 tech support. In case of softswitch purchase – first 3 months are for free. In case of rent – the tech support service is included into the rent.
