1) Priorities on all TPs should be the same (Local Priority, Price Priority, Point Priority);
2) There should be one price on all TPs with the same weight coefficient. Weight coefficient value shouldn’t equal “0”. Using the value “9” is recommended.
You should remember that at the same time only one price can be active. This price is called “enabled”.
Prices can also be “actual”. They are active now or will be active in future.
If there are 2 prices on the destination then one of these prices will be active and others will be “actual”.
Price has such parameters as “Validity term” and “Working time”.
For example, price on 380 has "validity term" from 2011-01-01 00:00:00 to 2015-01-01 00:00:00 and "working time" from Monday to Wednesday from 00:00:00 to 07:59:59.
You should remember that prices on the destination can differ by “working time”. In this case in the list of prices 2 (or more) prices will be displayed on the destination.
By editing the price you should comply following condition: “Start date” of price must be higher or the same as in edited price. The same condition is obligatory for “End date”. Violation of these conditions will create “attached prices” in list of the prices on the destination and several actual prices will be created.
In such a case to have only one actual price you should:
1) find price with higher “End date”
2) find price with higher “Start date”
3) edit this price:
4) click “Submit”
Thereby, the price will be uploaded over covering other active prices by validity term.
Call Path In – call path by routing. Termination location points in the routing are conditioned by following factors (in decreasing order):
The higher is the value of the priority the higher is TP location. In case all priorities equal “0” it is taken for calculating the principle of LCR, points arrangement in order of increasing price (points with min price will be first in the list).
TP lines limit – number of lines on termination point. In case of exceeding the number of calls on the line, the calls will pass further by routing on other termination points.
Weight – coefficient of traffic distribution. With equal values of price and priority, this coefficient will share traffic in equivalent proportion.
7. I have downloaded the price list but the names of the countries aren’t displayed while reviewing.
If destination name isn’t displayed it means that there is no such destination and description in the destination list in “Maitenance” menu >”Destination Codes”.
In this menu you can add single destination with description, or you can upload destination list by csv format file:
8. Which ports should be opened on the “Firewall” for MediaCore Softswitch activity?
All ports must be opened between MediaCore Softswitch services.
To access the servers from external network, these ones should be opened:
UDP 1024-65535
TCP 80,1024-65535
Billing is set for working with AccuCore (VoIP ERP-system) and this option is blocked.
10. How can I calculate “Activation Threshold” value?
“Activation Treshold” - minimum balance value before notification the client
Calculated by formula “Activation threshold” = “Current Balance” – “In Limit (Maximum Negative Balance)”
For example:
“Current Balance” = 1000$,
“Maximum Negative Balance” = -2$
It is necessary that by reaching balance 500$ (Current Balance = 500$) client should be notified.
“Activation Treshold” = 500-(-2) = 500+2 = 502
11. Whether is the sending of fax-messages in MediaCore Softswitch supported?
Yes, it is supported.
SIP, H.323: by T38 protocol, and in G.711 codec;
12. Which messages are required to activate “hunting” (selection of suppliers)?
‘Hunting’ in Mediacore is implementing basing on signals, received from termination side; Termination causes do not have an influence on ‘hunting’
Hunting won’t be proceeded if supplier process the call, or from supplier were received signals: SIP: Progress, Ringing or 200OK;
H.323: Progress, Alerting or Connect.
13. What is the meaning of “Duration/Calculated” in “Financial Summary” menu?
“Duration” – number of seconds by CDR; “Calculated” – quantity of seconds for calculating, considering mc, ci, ft.
14. Calls don’t pass. Why and what to do?
Make sure that:
1) OP and TP are not closed
2) ОР is bound with ТР
3) IP addresses of points are specified and they are true
4) Report “Traffic Tools”>”Callpath In” displays available TPs to send the call
5) More than 5 minutes have passed after changes in point and price settings
6) Calls are coming on OP with true prefix
7) Pay attention on code of the termination cause. These codes are described in “Help” menu, ”Designated Codes”.
8) If the points 1-7 are completed, but the calls are not sent to the supplier (there is no TP in the Traffic Tools>Incoming Calls) it is necessary to make a dump on the OP (Maitenance->TCP Dump) and provide it to the technical support team.
9) If the TP settings are true, but calls are not accepted by supplier it is necessary to make a dump on the OP (Maitenance->TCP Dump) and provide it to the technical support group.
