On 5 June 2009 Speedflow team returned from the USA where they participated in International Telecoms Week (ITW) event, which was held in 1-3 June in Washington D.C.
The event made vivid impressions of useful meetings and efficient negotiations. Such kind of event always sets one’s hopes on business growth. Today we can say with certainty that the results have exceeded our expectations.
First and foremost the telecommunications companies from all over the world attended this immense event. Comparing to the last year the exhibition area and the number of attendees have increased significantly.
The high level of event organization cannot be left unnoticed. A great deal of attention was paid to the security measures. The entrance was permitted only on the required registration which prohibited casual visitors and enabled to maintain high level of business meetings.
The conference hall of Hotel Marriott Wardman Park perfectly fitted the event. The spacious hall comfortably seated the stands of more than 1000 companies from 130 countries. The diverse workshops and plenary meetings agenda enabled to present the vital information about the current situation on the markets and trends for telecommunication services in Europe, Central and Latin America, Africa, Asia and Caribbean region countries.
Regarding Speedflow participation – during the three-day show our representatives managed to carry out quite a few meetings (approximately every 15 minutes), 30% of which were new promising associates who are eager to develop interconnection with our company.
To our mind, the distinctive feature of ITW 2009 was business concerned participants. It was obvious that Speedflow is a recognizable brand in telecom market, various issues and offers were discussed. Our brand new software developments have risen high interests among our colleagues: Speedflow Softswitch with trans-coding options, original VoIP solution for mobile phones – MobiGlobe, processing system of pre-paid services Pay-n-Get and others.
It was rather rewarding that our project VoIP Fraud LIST (www.voipfraud.net) has become widely popular during the recent years. Most of the VoIP companies have turned out to be using our project resources in their work.
We would like to thank all our colleagues, who we met during these three days, for their friendly and frank attitude towards our company. Also, we are bound to mention the efficient approach to negotiations of the following companies’ representatives: Primus, Fusion, IDT and many others. One cannot forget Alexey Patlavsky, a regional Director of Tata Communications, whose unflagging energy and efficiency justifies the concept of business law – everything should be done with the speed of thought.
As a result of the preliminary negotiations Speedflow Communications is starting a cycle of online conferences on 10 June, where we will present our software products solutions. The following webinars were planned: a unique VoIP billing system – AccuCore, Speedflow Softswitch and also a complex solution MobiGlobe for corporate users.
Definitely the attendees communicated not only in a formal surrounding but also at numerous receptions and parties. Especially remarkable party in the style of disco of 70-ies was organized by Invitel company on the last day of the event. Nobody remained indifferent to the festive atmosphere of the evening. On entrance all the visitors were given sunglasses and wigs, the hall was designed in glamorous disco style. However, the key feature was the music – which doesn’t have language borders and requires no translations. In a dance it united the people from various countries and religions – everybody felt at ease. This evening was one of the International Telecoms Week (ITW) final chords.
